Wander and Sunset Drinks in Casa de Campo

Madrid is surrounded by beautiful hikes, but this one kept it simple again: a tour of the old royal hunting grounds in Casa de Campo, having some great chats with like-minded gay guys, with sunset drinks at the lake to finish off.

It was a Sunday afternoon in March 2026, 3pm to 7pm, in English and Spanish, and free. The brief hadn't changed: water, snacks, comfortable shoes and (hopefully) suncream.

The route ran along dirt paths under the pines and across open fields under a big cloudy sky, with the Madrid skyline stretched out beyond the green hills. A dog came along too, and is in most of the photos. There was a rest at a picnic table, and the whole group gathered for a selfie in the golden evening light.

It was part of the Madrid group, the second time the wander had run after the first in October 2025.
