Speed Dating

NSGW is all about making quality connections with gay guys… so on Valentine's night 2026 Madrid got speed dating, without the pressure… and not an app in sight.

There were structured games, get-to-know-yous, many opportunities to chat, and the groups were mixed up so everyone got the chance to make those intros that could turn into friends… or something special. There was a bilingual sheet of icebreakers too, with questions from "What's your favourite hidden gem in Madrid?" to "What is the most 'main character' moment you've ever had in real life?"

It ran from 8pm to 10pm near La Latina, in English and Spanish, with space for 30. It was free, with one condition: "if you sign up and don't tell us you're not coming, then we might ghost you back for future events."

The tables filled up, and between rounds people gathered at the bar under a mirrored disco ball.

It was part of the Madrid group, and the London edition followed three weeks later.
