North London Lob-sters

An LGBTQ+ and ally tennis community in Finsbury Park, started in 2022 with the Access to Sports Project and now Out For Sport's Emerging Club of the Year: four coaching and social doubles sessions a week, all year, with beginner coaching on Thursdays. About £4 to £5 a session, booked through Spond. Over a thousand people on its Meetup.

Join through the Clubspark page, which puts you on the Spond app where the week's sessions are booked, and take the Thursday beginner coaching first. No racket needed to start, by the Meetup's past listings.

What they don't say

  • The Clubspark page could not be fetched from here, so the four session times rest on a search rendering of it; confirm them in a browser before relying on the minutes.
  • Current prices are inside Spond; the £4 and £5 are the Meetup's 2024 figures.
  • Finsbury Park's courts postcode is the park's.
