Valencia 2025

Valencia, Spain · September 2025

The first full weekend, and the first in Spain: paella by the sea, a sunset boat trip and the science museum.

The first full weekend

Oxford had been a pilot day. Valencia was the first full weekend: Saturday and Sunday, 20 and 21 September, with an optional Friday evening for early arrivals. Chris's pitch was "paella by the sea (the place it's allowed)", exploring the city, activities and lots of social time. The main language was English, with Spanish.

Guests covered their own travel, hotel and meals; the activities, tours and visits were included. Booking closed and a waitlist opened.

Friday

The early arrivals met on the Friday evening for drinks, chats and games, then went for late-night ice cream and a wander.

Saturday

Saturday started with coffee and churros, then the city: the cathedral square, the Serranos towers and the market. Lunch was paella on a terrace by the beach.

In the early evening the group took a boat out around the port for the sunset, and the night ended with late tapas.

Sunday

On the Sunday morning, as Chris put it in his email afterwards, "some even braved early morning HIIT and yoga". The rest of the day was the science museum and the opera house at the City of Arts and Sciences.

Afterwards

Chris wrote to the mailing list once he was home.

"Autumn certainly hadn't quite arrived as the Spanish sun continued to shine on our wonderful group."

"It was great to see the guys getting on so well and making some meaningful connections without the pressure. That's really what this group is about… meeting other like-minded gay guys in a unique way… no apps needed."

What people said

"Such a fun group of guys, well organised events, and well worth the modest price. The event drew a really cool, international group of guys."

D.J.

"I have been to three No Sex Gay Weekend events now in Valencia, Madrid and Seville, and they have all been fantastic. The group size is perfect for actually meeting people."
