Seville 2025

Seville, Spain · November 2025

A new format: one day in Seville, no hotel needed, just the city and the group.

A new concept

Seville was a day trip, which was new. The idea, in Chris's words on the booking page, was "exploring the city together without all the extra expense of a hotel". He promised that "the summer searing heat will have been replaced with a gorgeous balmy breeze", and the rest of the pitch was simple: the Andalusian lifestyle, the architecture, the food and drink, in the company of guys all wanting to make quality connections. Get off the apps, meet gay guys in real life, and explore the place.

Everyone made their own way there. For anyone coming from Madrid, the booking page suggested the 8am train, arriving at 10:43. The main language was English, with Spanish.

The day

The plan was coffee and churros at 11, then a wander and chats around the main sights, led by NSGW. Lunch at 2, a visit to the Alcázar at 4, then tinto de verano and snacks at 6, and at 7, "Goodbye... until next time."

The balmy breeze didn't quite arrive: the morning's group photos, under the Metropol Parasol, were taken in the rain. By the afternoon there were selfies with the Giralda behind.

After seven

The booking page had said that anyone was welcome to stay the night and make a weekend of it, and that "if other people are staying, you may find they will want to carry on too". Some did. The evening went on at a tapas bar, then dinner outside under string lights, and a few of the group were still out well after midnight.

Seville was the second weekend in Spain, after Valencia.

"We've had one in Valencia, one in Sevilla, one in Bath and one in Oxford and they work really well."

What people said

"I have been to three No Sex Gay Weekend events now in Valencia, Madrid and Seville, and they have all been fantastic. The group size is perfect for actually meeting people."
