Affiliate links, and what we do not do.

Some pages carry a link to buy kit, a ticket or a place to stay. Here is what that means.

An affiliate link is one where, if you buy something after clicking it, the seller pays us a small commission. The price you pay is the same either way. On these pages that means the boots for a rugby club, the goggles for a swim, a ticket to something a group is running, or somewhere to stay when a walk starts outside London.

Every affiliate link is in one clearly marked box, below the facts about the club, with this disclosure beside it. The link goes through our own address first so we can count clicks; we do not pass on your name, email or anything else about you.

What we do not do: the clubs and groups listed do not pay to be there and cannot pay to be listed higher. There are no adverts on these pages and no advertising trackers. If that ever changes, a paid listing will be labelled as one, in its own slot, one per page, and this page will say so first.

Where the money goes: running the site, and checking the listings. Every fact on a listing was read off the club's own pages on a date the page shows, and re-checked before it goes stale. That costs time, and the commission pays for some of it.
